Multi-Aperture Cores
Fair-Rite Multi-Aperture Cores are used in suppression applications and in balun (balance-unbalance) and other broadband transformers. These cores are employed in airbag designs to prevent accidental activation. The multi-aperture cores in 73 and 43 materials are measured for impedance on the E4990A impedance analyzer. These cores in 61 NiZn material are controlled for both impedance and AL value. The 61 and 67 material multi-hole beads are tested for AL value and the test frequency is 10kHz at <10 gauss. The 79 material product line continues to expand and include new geometries for power supply designs with operating frequencies up to 1MHz.
