This NFC/RFID Controller Shield can be easily attached behind a plastic plate with standoffs and still read cards through a non-metal barrier. The 789 PN532 NFC/RFID Controller Shield uses I²C or SPI communication protocols, and The NXP Semiconductors PN532 NFC/RFID chip set.
