DRV8840 / DRV8842 / DRV8843 Motor Driver ICs

Texas Instruments DRV8840 / DRV8842 / DRV8843 motor driver ICs are integrated motor drive solutions for printers, scanners, and other automated equipment applications. TI DRV8840 DC motor driver ICs have one H-bridge driver and are intended to drive one DC motor. DRV8842 DC motor driver ICs have one H-bridge driver and are intended to drive one DC motor, one coil of a stepper motor, or other loads. Texas Instruments DRV8843 dual H-bridge driver ICs has two H-bridge drivers and can be used to drive two DC motors, one stepper motor, or other loads. The DRV8840 can supply up to 5A peak or 3.5A output current. The DRV8842 can supply up to 5A peak or 3.5A RMS output current. The DRV8843 can supply up to 2.5A peak or 1.75A RMS output current.

DRV8x Integrated Motor Drivers

Texas Instruments DRV8x motor drivers are intended to drive an electromagnetic machine, such as a brushed or brushless motor, stepper motor, or other electromechanical actuator. The TI DRV8x family of integrated motor drivers enable designers to quickly and easily spin their motors, reducing time to market and greatly simplifying design. By integrating the gate drive circuitry, sense amps, protection, FETS, industry standard control interfaces, and drive algorithms, the design complexity, board space, and time to spin a motor have all be greatly reduced. With on-chip protection including overcurrent, thermal, shoot-through, and undervoltage, the DRV8x family is robust, reliable, and fully protected.

DRV8843 Dual H-Bridge Drivers

Texas Instruments DRV8843 Dual H-Bridge Drivers provide an integrated bridge motor driver solution for printers, scanners, and other automated equipment applications. These devices can drive one or two brushed DC motors, a bipolar stepper motor, or other loads. A simple PWM interface allows easy interfacing with controller circuits. The Texas Instruments DRV8843 drivers operate from 8.2V to 45V supply voltage range. Internal protection features include overtemperature, overcurrent, and under voltage. Other applications include office automation machines, gaming machines, factory automation, and robotics.
