Solid State Isolators (SSIs)

Infineon Technologies Solid State Isolators (SSIs) provide galvanically isolated gate drives for various MOSFET and IGBT switches in Solid State Relay (SSR) applications. These devices enable the creation of custom solid-state relays capable of controlling loads over 1000V and 100A. The coreless transformer (CT)-based isolators enable energy transfer across the isolation barrier and can drive large MOSFETs or IGBTs without the added circuitry of a power supply on the isolated side. The innovative protection features enable the design of reliable and robust SSRs.

PVA30 Photovoltaic Relays

Infineon PVA30 Photovoltaic Relays are a single-pole, normally open, solid-state replacement for electromechanical relays used for general purpose switching of analog signals. They utilize Infineon HEXFET power MOSFETs as the output switches, driven by an integrated circuit photovoltaic generator of novel construction. The output switch is controlled by radiation from a GaAlAs light-emitting diode (LED), which is optically isolated from the photovoltaic generator. Infineon PVA30 Photovoltaic Relays combine low solid-state output capacitance, high off-state resistance, and fast response times. These Photovoltaic Relays are designed specifically to accurately switch low-level signals in high-performance instrumentation systems.
