NXP Semiconductors NAFEB43388 Industrial-Grade Universal Input Analog Front-End (AFE) meets high-precision measurement requirements. The device integrates a high data rate, 24-bit sigma-delta Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), a precision 13-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC), low-leakage, high-voltage (HV) fast multiplexers, a low-offset and low-drift programmable gain amplifier (PGA), and a low-drift voltage reference. In addition, the NAFEB43388 includes one high-precision sense resistor protected by a smart and robust e-fuse active circuit.
All HV analog pins are diode-protected internally for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and to protect against miswiring. Diagnostic and supply-supervisory circuitry equips the NAFEB43388 for condition monitoring and anomaly detection. NXP designed the NAFEB43388 family of products for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), I/O modules, data loggers, instrumentation, and high-precision sensor and data acquisition systems.
