Texas Instruments TLVM65030 3A 65V Step-Down Buck Power Module

Texas Instruments TLVM65030 3A 65V Step-Down Buck Power Module combines power MOSFETs, integrated inductor, and passives in a compact and easy-to-use 5.8mm × 5.2mm × 2.93mm, 19-pin enhanced HotRod QFN package. With the pin-selectable fixed-output voltages of 3.3V and 5V and adjustable output voltage from 1V to 16V, the TLVM65030 is designed to easily and quickly implement a low-EMI design in a small PCB footprint. The module only requires the input and output filter capacitors to finish the design and eliminates the magnetics and compensation part selection from the design process.

Although designed for simplicity and compact size in space-constrained applications, the Texas Instruments TLVM65030 module offers a range of features to ensure robust performance. The current-mode control architecture, with a 30ns typical minimum on-time, enables high conversion ratios at high frequencies, coupled with a fast transient response and excellent load and line regulation. The precision EN feature allows precise control of the device during start-up and shutdown. An open-drain PGOOD output provides a true indication of the output voltage status. The TLVM65030 includes accurate overcurrent and temperature protection, making the TLVM65030 an excellent device for powering a wide range of industrial applications. The MODE/SYNC pin enables a seamless transition between FPWM and AUTO modes with a no-load standby quiescent current of 2.1µA (typ.), ensuring high efficiency and a remarkable transient response across the entire load-current range.
