Vishay Semiconductors VOM1272 Optically Isolated MOSFET Driver
Vishay Semiconductors VOM1272 Optically Isolated MOSFET Driver is a stand-alone photovoltaic driver for isolated MOSFET gate-drive applications. The VOM1272 obtains the current required for its internal circuitry from the LED current on the low-voltage primary side of the isolation barrier, helping eliminate the need for one or more external power supplies. Integrated rapid turn-off circuitry reduces the need for additional external components and improves switching speed.
The Vishay Semiconductors VOM1272 Driver combines enhanced insulation performance, logic-compatible input, and a compact SOP-4 package for space-conscious driver designs. The optically isolated MOSFET driver works well in high-side drivers, solid-state relays, floating power supplies, power control systems, data acquisition equipment, automatic test equipment, and isolated solenoid or relay driver applications.
