KEMET AC Line Filters
KEMET AC Line Filters, also known as coils or chokes, suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise. All consumer electronics that use AC power need EMI suppression such as AC line filters. KEMET AC Line Filters are compact, low profile, and lightweight. These coils are available in a variety of form factors and heights, including split and non-split bobbin designs in common mode, as well as differential / normal mode, dual mode, and earth inductors.
Magnetic permeability is the ability of a certain magnetic material to support magnetic field development. The higher the magnetic permeability the better the material allows for magnetic flux to pass through it. Materials with higher magnetic permeability are effective in the lower frequency range, while those with lower magnetic permeability are effective in higher frequency ranges. This effective frequency range varies based on core shape, size, and number of windings.
S18H, S15H, 10H, 7H, 5H, 1400L, and 700L are the names of KEMET’s proprietary ferrite material.
