Vicor 3623 ChiP DCM Evaluation Boards

Vicor 3623 ChiP DCM Evaluation Boards are designed for evaluating the low input voltage 3623 ChiP DC-DC converters. Users can configure the boards for various enabling and fault-monitoring schemes. These evaluation boards can also be configured to exercise various modes of trimming, depending on application requirements. The Vicor 3623 ChiP DCM Evaluation Boards also evaluate DCMs in a stand-alone configuration or as an array of modules.

Features

  • Input and output lugs for source and load connections
  • Input fuse (appropriately rated)
  • Basic input filtering, including sockets to add through-hole input aluminum-electrolytic capacitors for additional source decoupling
  • Basic output filtering, including sockets to add through-hole output aluminum-electrolytic capacitors
  • Toggle switch for enabling and disabling the DCM via the ENABLE pin
  • Trim control selection: using potentiometer, using external voltage source, open to disable trimming and latch the model nominal trim condition
  • Provisions to replace input and output differential mode inductors with wire loops, for oscilloscope/shunt-based current measurements
  • Oscilloscope probe jack for accurate, high-frequency output voltage measurements
  • Dual paralleling connectors for ENABLE, TRIM, FAULT, and SGND signal connections, for daisy chaining control to other DCM evaluation boards in an array
  • Kelvin voltage test points for all power pins
  • Top and bottom heatsink assembly for the DCM
