Littelfuse Low Resistance Resettable PPTCs offer ultra-low normal operating resistance while maintaining the same performance of other Littelfuse PPTC products. The low resistance devices offer a 0.1A to 6A maximum current range, a 5V to 12V maximum voltage range, and overcurrent and over-temperature protections for various applications. The low-resistance resettable PPTCs are available in the Surface Mount Low Rho SMD Series, the Surface Mount LoRho Series, and the Battery Strap SL Series. The components are halogen-free, lead-free, and RoHS Compliant.

Connected Drug Delivery Device Ecosystem Solutions

Package size varies from 0402 to 3425, while the current hold ranges from 50mA to 7.0A. The Littelfuse PolySwitch SMD product family is qualified to strict automotive standards (following the AECQ200 specification). As a result, these PTCs are suitable for protecting Electronic Control Units (ECUs) against damage from faults that would otherwise require costly, complete module replacement.

PolySwitch Resettable Devices

PTCs increase resistance as temperature increases due to increased flow. The components are designed to limit unsafe currents while allowing constant safe current levels, resistance will "reset" automatically when the fault is removed, and temperature returns to safe levels. PTCs are typically used as circuit protection in applications where sensitive components are at constant risk of damage from overcurrent conditions.
