The Analog Devices Evaluation Kit operates from a single 3.3V supply and features an onboard isolated power supply to power the secondary side of the circuit.

Analog Devices Inc. and HALO Electronics partner to offer fully isolated transceiver solutions for RS-485/Profibus high-speed industrial applications. ADI RS-485/Profibus half-duplex DP transceivers provide galvanic isolation (2750V or 5000V), improving communications by breaking ground loops. This reduces noise caused by significant differences in ground potential between ports.
