HMC994A RF Amplifiers

Analog Devices Inc. HMC994A features GaAs MMIC pHEMT Distributed Power Amplifiers operating between DC to 30GHz. Consuming only 250mA from a +10V supply, the HMC994A Amplifiers deliver 14dB of gain, +39dBm output IP3, and +28dBm of output power at 1dB gain compression. The HMC994A Amplifiers achieve a slightly positive gain slope from 2GHz to 20GHz, making the amplifiers ideal for EW, ECM, radar, and test equipment applications. With up to 39dBm Output IP3, the HMC994A Amplifiers from Analog Devices are also ideal for high linearity applications in military and space as well as test equipment using high-order modulations. Internally matched to 50Ω, the HMC994A Amplifiers' I/Os facilitate the integration into Multi-Chip-Modules (MCMs).

EVAL-HMC994APM5 Evaluation Board

Analog Devices EVAL-HMC994APM5 Evaluation Board features a 2-layer printed circuit board (PCB) fabricated from 10 mil-thick Rogers 4350B copper-clad, mounted to an aluminum heat spreader. The heat spreader provides thermal relief for the device and mechanical support for the PCB. Mounting holes on the heat spreader allow it to be attached to a heat sink for improved thermal management. The RFIN and RFOUT ports of the ADI EVAL-HMC994APM5 Evaluation Board are populated with 2.9mm female coaxial connectors, and the corresponding RF traces have a 50Ω characteristic impedance.
