Allegro MicroSystems A81415 Automotive ASIL-D PMIC
Allegro MicroSystems A81415 Automotive ASIL-D-Certified Power Management IC (PMIC) integrates a multi-protocol wheel-speed sensor interface, providing a single-chip solution for electromechanical braking (EMB) architectures. This module combines power, safety, and decoding for a drop-in solution that enhances functional safety, lowers system cost, and decodes wheel speed sensors of any protocol. With an on-chip wheel-speed sensor interface (WSSI), the A81415 decodes standard two-level pulse width modulation (PWM) and three-level AK protocols without complex analog circuitry or a separate decoder IC. The PMIC also eliminates up to nine external components by incorporating a fully integrated buck-boost pre-regulator, five low-dropout (LDO) regulators, and a single-inductor architecture that requires no external switches or diodes. Allegro MicroSystems A81415 Automotive ASIL-D PMIC offers an ultra-simplified, single-chip power and sensing foundation for next-generation brake-by-wire systems.
