Infineon Technologies AS5601 Magnetic Rotary Position Sensor
Infineon Technology AS5601 Magnetic Rotary Position Sensor is an easy-to-program magnetic rotary position sensor with incremental quadrature (A/B) and 12-bit digital output. This contactless system measures the absolute angle of a diametrically magnetized on-axis magnet. The PUSH output indicates rapid air-gap changes between the AS5601 and a magnet. This can be used to implement a contactless push-button function in which the knob can be pressed to move the magnet toward the Infineon Technology AS5601. It is designed for contactless magnetic position-sensor applications, and its robust design eliminates the effects of homogeneous external stray magnetic fields. The industry-standard I2C interface supports simple user programming of non-volatile parameters without requiring a dedicated programmer.
