The MCX N24, N52, and N53 belong to the MCX N series of highly integrated Arm® Cortex®-M33 MCUs designed for high performance and low power consumption. The MCX N24, N52, and N53 MCUs meet the needs of industrial applications, including factory automation and building control, smart home appliances, and general embedded applications, such as power tools and other hand-held devices.
The MCX N24, N52, and N53 MCUs, now at Mouser, feature two high-performance Arm Cortex-M33 cores, 2 MB of Flash with optional full ECC RAM, a DSP co-processor, and an integrated eIQ Neutron neural processing unit (NPU). The MCX NPU delivers up to 42 times the machine learning (ML) throughput of a single CPU core, reducing time spent awake and overall power consumption. The N24, N52, and N53 provide more targeted options as the MCX portfolio continues to expand. The MCX N53 offers Edge-AI-ready acceleration for demanding edge applications. The MCX N52 is ideal for smart metering and industrial communication, with full-speed (FS) and high-speed (HS) USB host and device support, as well as CoolFlux BSP32 for programmable logic controller (PLC) connectivity. Finally, the single-core MCX N24 enables cost-effective designs in factory equipment and smart building applications with larger memory, versatile peripherals, and integrated 10/100 Mbps Ethernet.
The MCX N24, N52, and N53 MCUs include EdgeLock® Secure Enclave and Core Profile to offer secure boot with an immutable root of trust and hardware-accelerated cryptography. The MCUs are supported by the MCUXpresso suite of software and tools, which helps fast-track embedded system development.
