Analog Devices Inc. ADIN1140 10BASE-T1S MAC-PHY
Analog Devices ADIN1140 10BASE-T1S MAC-PHY is a low-power, high-performance single-port MAC-PHY for industrial single-pair Ethernet connectivity. The device supports 10BASE-T1S networks for multidrop and point-to-point half-duplex applications, enabling low-cost Ethernet communication across building, cabinet, robotics, and zonal architecture designs.
The ADI ADIN1140 integrates an OPEN Alliance 10BASE-T1x MAC-PHY SPI interface and media access control functions for systems that require Ethernet connectivity without a dedicated Ethernet MAC in the host processor. The ADIN1140 includes PLCA support, transmit-priority queues, address filtering, VLAN filtering, EtherType filtering, time synchronization support, topology discovery, and advanced diagnostics.
This MAC-PHY is well-suited for industrial cabinet applications, building automation and control, energy control panels, Ethernet-based zonal architectures, and robotics connectivity. The device supports robust EMC/EMI performance, enhanced noise immunity, and power delivery over the data line. The ADIN1140 operates across a -40°C to +150°C junction temperature range in a small 24-lead LFCSP package.
