Microchip Technology Adaptec® SmartRAID Ultra 3258p-16i (3258UPC16IXS) is designed to provide high-performance memory-based PCIe storage, offering up to 29.6GB/s throughput and 3.5M+ IOPs 4K random reads. Based on the SmartROC 3200 storage controller, the SmartRAID Ultra 3258p-16i /e supports an x16 PCIe Gen 4 host interface with 16 media-facing port variants for internal tri-mode connectivity.
The Microchip Technology Adaptec SmartRAID Ultra 3258p-16i includes Trusted Platform support which delivers compute and supply chain security based on a hardware root of trust that is aligned with the Open Compute Security Project. For additional layers of security, the included Adaptec maxCrypto Controller-Based Encryption (CBE) solution supports SAS, SATA, NVMe media, and Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) management software.
The SmartRAID 3258p-16i adapter also supports both Intel® Virtual Pin Port (VPP) for intelligent backplane management and SFF Universal Backplane Management (UBM) standards to simplify integration and enhance product flexibility for system integrators. Also supported are industry-leading storage management standards, including Platform Level Data Model (PLDM)/Redfish® Device Enablement (RDE) and the ChipLink Diagnostic Tool to simplify integration and accelerate time to market.
