Kingston's KSM64 DDR5 SDRAM Memory Modules, Now Available at Mouser, Support High-Performance Computing
February 19, 2025 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry's leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, is now stocking the KSM64 DDR5 SDRAM memory modules from Kingston. The DDR5 SDRAM memory modules deliver higher performance, lower energy consumption, and more robust data integrity than equivalent DDR4 modules. The DDR5 memory modules meet the needs of high-performance systems for Edge, Artificial Intelligence (AI), gaming computers, industrial applications, content creation workstations, and servers and data centers.
The Kingston KSM64 DDR5 SDRAM memory modules, now available at Mouser, include 32 internal banks, increasing efficiency by allowing more pages to be open at the same time. While DDR4 tops out at 3200MT/s, DDR5 starts at 4800MT/s — a 50% increase in bandwidth under JEDEC industry standard specifications — and has planned standard speeds that will scale to 8800MT/s. The KSM64 DDR5 SDRAM memory modules feature on-die error correction code (ECC), which corrects bit errors in the DRAM chip and improves reliability. The KSM64 memory modules also feature hard/soft post-package repair and sideband access with I3C/I2C. With a typical power supply of 1.1V, the DDR5 memory modules consume 20% less power than equivalent DDR4 components, extending battery life and supporting enterprise servers in continuous operation.
The KSM64 memory modules feature a typical output stage drain power voltage of 1.1V and a typical peak-to-peak voltage of 1.8V. The DDR5 SDRAM memory modules are UL 94 V-0 rated, RoHS-compliant, and operate within a temperature range of 0°C to 95°C.
