Expectations Soar as Mouser and Molex Back Indy 500 Race Team

May 21, 2015- Mouser Electronics, Inc., the global authorized distributor with the newest semiconductors and electronic components, is pleased to announce it will once again be sponsoring the #11 IndyCar on May 24 at the legendary Indianapolis 500.

Mouser is partnering with valued supplier Molex in supporting the KV Racing Technology #11 IndyCar at this year's premier racing event with Sabastien Bordeaux behind the wheel.

The Mouser-sponsored car won the Indy500 event in 2013 and hopes are very high this year.

"The Indy 500 is one of IndyCar's most exhilarating races and we are amped to be part of it again, teaming up with KV Racing Technology and Molex," said Todd McAtee, Mouser Electronics' Vice President, Americas Business Development.

"In 2013, we won the Indy 500 with Tony Kanaan behind the wheel. Our outstanding partnerships with Molex and KV Racing are a testament to our commitment to speed, performance and excellence, both on and off the racetrack. We are excited to return to the brickyard with driver Sabastien Bordeaux in the #11 Mouser machine in hopes of tasting victory."

The race at the Brickyard, as the Indianapolis track is known, dates back to 1909. It is the most prestigious race on the IndyCar calendar, and is one of the oldest and most important automobile races in the world. The Indianapolis Speedway is an oval circuit with 200 laps run counterclockwise for 500 miles.

"It's a thrill for us to partner with Mouser again to support KV Racing Technology in the upcoming Indianapolis 500. Just like Mouser, Molex is committed to high-performance technologies. Motorsports is a great way to help get the Molex brand in front of design engineers who are also racing fans," said Fred Bell, Vice President of Global Distribution. "We appreciate the opportunity for the Molex brand to be involved in such a high technology sporting event like the Indy 500."

Mouser first sponsored IndyCar in 2011 as an innovative way to communicate its performance-driven business model and promote the newest technologies and how they affect the high-tech world of IndyCar racing. Since every advanced, sophisticated component that goes into an IndyCar is all about precision and gaining a performance edge out on the track, IndyCar provides the perfect vehicle to build top-of-mind awareness for Mouser and its industry-leading manufacturer, Molex.

With its broad product line and unsurpassed customer service, Mouser caters to design engineers and buyers by delivering What's Next in advanced technologies. Mouser offers customers 20 global support locations and the latest, most technologically advanced components for their newest design projects.
